Hatton Labs silver-based jewellery is created using .925 Sterling Silver.
Silver is a precious metal that tarnishes when exposed to substances in the air, such as salt and sulphur. This tarnishing is a natural occurrence and can be easily removed with gentle cleaning. To preserve the polish and keep your jewellery looking as new and shiny as possible, we include a polishing cloth with every order and recommend following our care and maintenance instructions.
Storing Your Silver Jewellery
Sterling Silver should always be kept dry. Make sure to store your jewellery away from water and avoid exposure to products containing chemicals, including
but not limited to chlorine, soap, sanitizer, perfume, and all cleaning
products. Remove your jewellery before activities such as showering, swimming, being in humid weather (including saunas and steam rooms), participating in physical activities, carrying and moving heavy items, and when sleeping. It’s
best to store silver in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight and humidity. Ideally, we recommend storing your precious jewellery in the soft fabric pouch that comes with your product or a lined jewellery box to minimize exposure to air and prevent scratching.
Cleaning and Maintenance
It is recommended to regularly clean your silver jewellery using a few drops of mild pH-neutral soap in slightly warm water and your polishing cloth. Gently rub the surface to remove dirt and tarnish. Do not use any harsh chemicals or
abrasive materials that can scratch the surface. After cleaning, make sure to dry and polish the jewellery completely before storing. It is recommended to take your jewellery to a reputable jeweller for professional cleaning annually.

The mount came first
In 2019 we stopped buying settings and started making them. The mount is the part nobody photographs and everybody feels: how the stone sits, how much light gets underneath it, whether the chain moves like fabric or like a fence. Ours is exclusive to Hatton Labs and has been refined every year since — the stone lifted higher out of the setting, the sides cut flat so they throw light back like a mirror, the mount itself made heavier and stronger.

One perfect cut on every stone
Every stone is laboratory-grown. Not as a compromise, but because it's the only way to hold a single cut and clarity across every stone on the chain — and matching is the whole craft in a tennis chain. Nothing is set into anything hollow: it's solid .925 sterling throughout, and our gold pieces are 18k gold plated over that same silver. Never brass, never base metal.
