The mount came first
In 2019 we stopped buying settings and started making them. The mount is the part nobody photographs and everybody feels: how the stone sits, how much light gets underneath it, whether the chain moves like fabric or like a fence. Ours is exclusive to Hatton Labs and has been refined every year since — the stone lifted higher out of the setting, the sides cut flat so they throw light back like a mirror, the mount itself made heavier and stronger.

One cut, four hundred times
Every stone is laboratory-grown. Not as a compromise, but because it's the only way to hold a single cut and clarity across four hundred stones on one chain — and matching is the whole craft in a tennis chain. Nothing is set into anything hollow: it's solid .925 sterling throughout, and our gold pieces are 18k gold plated over that same silver. Never brass, never base metal.
